Some Special Sun Tanning Tips:
When you spend long hours directly under the sun, your skin becomes wrinkled. You may also increase your chance of developing skin rashes and blotches. You may even suffer from heatstroke because of too much exposure under the sun. Continued exposure under the harmful ultraviolet(UV) rays of the sun for few days may even result in skin cancer.

Following are the sun tanning tips that you may consider before going out under the sun:
  • Protect Yourself with a Good Sun Tan Lotion: Select a good sun tan lotion with an SPF of 30 and 45 before heading out to the sun. Generally, SPF of 30 and 45 are considered to give the highest protection from the sun. This lotion will protect and nourish your skin cells and collagen. While you are under the sun, you may also consider taking a lotion that contains moisturizer. The moisturizer will protect your skin with essential nourishment of vitamin A and vitamin E and help your skin to rebuild the damaged cells.

  • Choose your Timing under the sun: Avoid sunbathing between noon and 3 PM because it is the hottest period of the day. The intensity of the strong is so strong that it can very easily burn your skin! Better stay in a shaded area and wear protective clothing.

  • Do not Overstay: Do not stay for more than 2 hours under the sun. It is best if you start initially with 15 minutes and gradually build up the time you are under the sun. If you have freckles or moles or have history of skin cancer, take some extra precautions.

  • Drink Plenty of Water: Before going out to the beach or sitting under the sun, drink plenty of water. Excess water will keep your body well-hydrated and your skin moist. When you are out under the sun, do not drink water when your body is hot. Instead, cool under a shade and let your body return to normal temperature before drinking water.

  • Avoid Sunburn while in Water: While you are in water, the chance of getting skin burn increases even before you notice it. This is because sun's rays gets magnified when it falls on your body after it is reflected from water. To prevent this, cover yourself with a good sun-tan lotion. Reapply the sun-block, water-resistant lotion(even one with very low SPF) all over your body every 2-3 hours while you are in water.

  • Wear Clothes When not Sunbathing: When you are not sunbathing, protect yourself from getting extra sun tanned by wearing shirts and hats. You may find this tip particularly handy while you are busy in other outdoor activities.

What else are you waiting for? Go outside and enjoy yourself under the sun and on the beach. Get yourself the healthy golden tan look. Prepare yourself to get some admiring glances and some envious ones too! Be a game.
